Bressan is probably the most successful foreigner to have ever play in the Belarusian Vysshaya Liga. It took Renan quite a small time to gain the reputation of a top player. Not only he became a prominent figure in the league, but also mastered the Russian language.

In Gomel he became a true leader almost at once. He played regularly and became fans' favourite. In 2009 Gomel got relegated and Renan moved to Borisov. And never regretted that. In his very first season in 2010 he won all the national trophies, became topscorer player and most valuable player according to the statistics (goals plus assists). What is more he performed outstandingly in the 2010/11 UEFA Europa League. His goals in matches against CS Maritimo, Sheriff, Paris Saint-Germaint became the club's classics. Renan can play in all the positions up front in the attack and even as a defensive midfielder. Champions League 2011/12 was another highlight of his career. He scored both BATE goals in the tournament against FC Viktoria Plzen and AC Milan.

He possesses astonishing dribbling skills and takes most of set-pieces during the game.

In 2010 Renan got Belarusian citizenship and hopes to win caps for the Belarusian national team. "Belarus is my second motherland. I feel well here. Of course, sometimes I want to go to the beach to feel exactly like home. But it does not prevent me from playing football", - says Renan.
