Aleksei Rios became BATE's first signing after 2014 domestic season. Versatile midfielder played for just one club FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk before moving for FC BATE Borisov. He spent ten seasons at the club since 2005 season when he started at the Moles' Reserves. In 2007 he debuted in the first team.

Rios made an instant impression as a quick right winger with great speed. Before moving to BATE he played 189 Vysshaya Liga games with 31 goals scored and 12 assists. In 2014 he managed to participate in 30 games recording 6+3 points.

Playing for Shakhtyor Rios became Belarusian Cup winner (2014), four times came as a runner-up (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013) and twice earned a bronze medal (2007, 2014) in the Vysshaya Liga.

'For me this is an important step forward as I want to continue becoming a better player. BATE is the country's best club and I am really happy to come here. I want to give the Yellow-Blues as much as I can. I spoke to the head coach and sports director and now I am looking forward to starting preparation for 2015', he said after signing of the contract.
