Karnitski: we cancelled out SJK's strong points

BATE midfielder Aliaksandr Karnitski on the UCL game against SJK won at Borisov-Arena 2-0.

- Today I liked the way we played more than our result. I think that was a good match against a strong opponent. We studied SJK very carefully. I will not go into tactical details, but on the whole we managed to cancel out SJK's strong sides. They had just one good opportunity to score, and even this one was created by our own mistake.

There is a principle of cup strategy here. And it is a plus we managed to keep a clean sheet. But even a smallest complacency in the second game is not acceptable. We will get prepared very thoroughly for the game in Finland.

Probably we could have scored even more than two goals. We are not satisfied with the level of our finishing. But the final score is optimistic. This is the first time we have a two goal advantage in front of an away game since I started playing for BATE. I think in front of their home crowd SJK will try to show their best football. And we will do everything to get through.
