Buljat: we fought to the end!

FC BATE Borisov defender Jurica Buljat commented on the game against FC Torpedo-BelAZ Zhodino won 2-1 in extra-time at Borisov-Arena in Belarusian Cup last 16:

- I am happy to be back on the pitch after three months. Some guys might be tired after 120-minute game, but not me definitely. I missed football so much, now I want to become better and better. And I need to play for that. Until the middle of the first half I did not feel really well. This is because I missed so much time. But then I adapted well and did not have any troubles.

I watched the Vysshaya Liga game vs Torpedo-BelAZ on Monday and saw at once the opponents are well organized that can defend well. This was clear that the game will be tough. Especially when Torpedo scored and could have doubled the lead at the very end of the 90 minutes. But this is football: you have to use your opportunities, otherwise you can be punished. We fought to the end and equalized.

This success inspired us. Soon we were ahead and missed several good chances, penalty not scored for example. Luckily we won and now will be preparing for Belarusian championship and Europa League. I hope in both tournaments BATE will do well.
