Alex Hleb excites fans by joining FC BATE Borisov

FC BATE Borisov is happy to announce Alex Hleb as another reinforcement to the Yellow-Blues squad. Star midfielder returned to Borisov-Arena, which he left a bit more than a year to move to FC Krylya Samara.

Hleb is the most decorated Belarusian player who was voted Belarusian Player of the Year for six times 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008), won UEFA Champions League (2008/09),Spanish championship (2008/09), Belarusian Championship (1999, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016), Spanish Copa del Rey (2008/09), English League Cup (2010/11). He was also the runner up of German Bundesliga (2002/03), and was third in the English Premiership (2007/08).

Alex played for FC BATE (1999-2000, 2012-13, 2015, 2016), German VfB Stuttgart (2000-05, 2009-10), English Arsenal F.C. (2005-08), Spanish Barcelona (2008-09), English Birmingham City F.C. (2010-11), German VfL Wolfsburg (2011), Russian Krylya Sovetov (2012, 2017), Turkish Konyaspor Kulübü (2014) and Gençlerbirliği S.K. (2015, 2016).

Hleb is the first Belarusian player to have played in UEFA Champions League final in 2006 for Arsenal F.C. He is also the only player to have won UEFA Champions League (in 2009 with FC Barcelona). He also is a prominent for Belarusian National team in 2001-16 recording 77 matches, scored 6 goals and gave 13 assists.

Hleb is the only Belarusian player to have played more than 100 European games (102). His performances against FC Bayern, Debreceni, Partizan, Lille OSC and in many more games are true gold in FC BATE Borisov history.
