Andrei Drozd graduated from Baranovichi Children and Youth football school and had a prolific goalkeeping career in Belarus, playing for FC Ataka Minsk (1994-97), FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk (1998-99), FC Luninets (2000), FC Torpedo Zhodino (2001-06), FC Belshina Bobruisk (2007) and Smorgon (2008). In total he played 107 matches in Belarusian top division, conceded 140 goals and has 39 clean sheets.
In 1994 participated in Youth European U-17 Championship. In 1996-97 played for the Belarusian U-21 team. In 1996 played 1 game for the Belarusian national team.
In 2009 started his career as goalkeeping coach. In 2009-10 worked at FC Smorgon, in 2011-12 joined FC Torpedo-Zhodino. In summer-2012 joined FC BATE Youth department, and since 1 February 2013 had worked as a goalkeeping coach of the BATE Reserves.
In January 2014 moved to the first team after resignation of Aliaksandr Fedarovich.
In 2011 graduated from Belarusian State University of Physical Culture as Football Coach.
Andrei Drozd has UEFA Coaching Category B.
