Khagush is an alumni of Abkhazian football. In 2000 he was spotted by FC Spartak Moscow scouts and joined the academy of the famous Russian club and spent five years there. In 2005 he made a debut in grown-up football on a loan in Spartak Chelyabinsk.

BATE invited Anri in 2006. In his first months at the club the die hard defender played mostly for the reserves. But in 2007 became a definite starter. In two and a half years for BATE he played 82 games and scored one goal and made six assists. He won two champions titles, and in 2008 he was one of the leaders of the team that wrote history when the Yellow-Blues were the first ever Belarusian team to get into UEFA Champions League group stage and face Real Madrid CF, FC Juventus and FC Zenit St.Petersburg. Khagush became the first Abkhazian player to play in the UEFA Champions League group stage.

After that he got a lucrative offer from Russian powerhouse FC Rubin Kazan and moved to Tatarstan. But there he did not manage to come into light. Kazan side loaned Khagush immediately to FC Kuban Krasnodar. After that Khagush played in FC Rostov (2010-11), FC Spartak Nalchik (2012), FC Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk (2012).

In 2013 he returned to Belarus to play for BATE's neighbours from FC Torpedo-Zhodino. But was unlucky to get injured in the beginning of the season and had to miss out the first part of the year to come back to the game only late September. But after that Anri was an integral part of Zhodino defence, proving his class and ability.

In January 2014 his contract with Torpedo-BelAZ expired and BATE were happy to welcome Khagush back. "I am really happy to be back here. The Yellow-Blues spell was so far the best in my career, and I am looking forward to contribute to BATE's new success", Anri said.
