The head coach of FC BATE was Ihar Kryushenko, who returned to our club sixteen years later.

Kryushenko led FC BATE to two championships (2006, 2007) and victory in the Belarus Cup (2006). In 2007 the Yellow-Blues under his leadership made it to the 3rd qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, stopping one step away from getting into the group. In 2006 and 2007 he was recognized as the best coach in Belarus.

In the Major League of the Belarusian championship, he played 236 matches as a head coach (108 of them were victorious). Won the National Cup with Torpedo-BELAZ (2016). He led the Novosibirsk "Sibir" to the Russian Premier League, made it to the final of the Russian Cup (2010) and the playoff round of the UEFA Europa League (2010). In 2018, the Belarusian national team under his leadership won Division D of the UEFA Nations League without conceding a single goal, and won the right to compete for a ticket to the European Championship through the play-offs.
