The agreement with FC BATE was concluded by 32-year-old midfielder Ilia Aleksiyevich, who already had experience playing for our club.
The graduate of FC Torpedo Zhodino became a full-fledged football player of the main team of his native team in 2010. Later in the midfielder’s career there were a number of addresses, but he achieved the most significant successes with FC Gomel and FC BATE.
In 2011 Aleksiyevich came to FC Gomel, with whom he won the Belarusian Cup (2011), championship bronze (2011) and the national Super Cup (2012), when the “green-whites” defeated FC BATE (2:0). In addition, Ilia performed at the 2012 Olympics Games.
In the fall of 2012 he signed a contract with the Yellow-Blues. He spent three seasons in our club, became a three-time champion (2013-15) and a two-time Super Cup winner (2013, 2014). Twice participated in the group tournaments of the UEFA Champions League (2014/15, 2015/16). He also has 9 matches and 1 goal for the Belarus national team (2012-14).
Wonderfully enough, Aleksiyevich has now made a comeback in FC BATE precisely from the camp of the FC Gomel team, where he played in the second period of his career since 2022. During this period together with FC Gomel he won the 2021/22 Belarus Cup, defeating the Yellow-Blues in the final (2:1). In the 2023 championship, he scored 5 goals and gave 2 assists in matches for the FC Gomel.
