FC BATE Borisov reserve team: a scattering of records!

#All #Reserve squad #News

Hot on the heels of the silver by FC BATE Borisov reserve team in the Championship-2021, we have already reported that the Yellow-Blues' reserves for the 13th time in history (the tournament among reserve teams has been held since 2001) won medals. Our youth became the winner twice (2011 and 2019), five times a silver (2005, 2006, 2013, 2015, 2021) and six times a bronze (2001, 2003, 2008, 2014, 2016, 2018) medalist. But let us note that for the first time such a young squad of the Borisovites (average age is 17,7 years) climbed to the podium. Moreover, not a single team (not only FC BATE Borisov) that has ever won the championship among reserve teams was so young!

A distinctive feature of the season-2021 is that our club's reserves have never scored so much before - 90 goals in 29 games (we do not take into account the technical goals for the victory in the second round over FC Sputnik Rechitsa). The former record, set in 2017, was surpassed by 19(!) points. And in the entire history of this tournament, only one team managed to score more in a year than our guys: this season bronze medalist of tournament FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk scored 98 goals.

The average scoring performance of our young team was 3,10 goals per game: this is a club record and second place in the 21-year history of the tournament! By the way, the previous achievement of FC BATE Borisov reserves is much more modest than the current one - 2,37 goals (in the already mentioned 2017 year).

In the home match against FC Sputnik from Rechitsa, our reserve team won 10:0, and this is a club record! Thus, the previous achievement was beaten: in 2017, FC Krumkachy were defeated with a score of 9:0. In general, in the past year, FC BATE Borisov had 7 major victories.

Our youth not only often crushed rivals, but also showed an unprecedented character: they have 7 strong-willed victories during the year (in 2001 and 2016, the Yellow-Blues' reserves had 5 such wins each).

No matter how the encounter developed, our reserve team did not stop and fought until the last minute. It is not surprising that the greatest number of goals falls on the last two 15-minute intervals: from the 61st to the 75th minute, the Borisovites scored 18 goals, and after the 75th they scored 24 times (3 of them after the end of the regular time of the match)! For comparison, the decoding of goals at other 15-minute intervals: 1-15 (10 goals scored), 16-30 (9), 31-45 (16), 46-60 (13).
