The decision to end his professional playing career was made by FC BATE Borisov attacking midfielder Pavel Niakhaichyk.
This is one of the brightest players in the history of the Yellow-Blues. He had three times with our team (2005-10, 2013, 2020-21) and each one was great in its own way. And over the last two-year stage, Pavel played 64 matches in which he scored 20 goals and made 20 assists. In total, Niakhaichyk has 255 official matches for FC BATE Borisov (10th place in club history), 155 of which are victorious one (10th), 56 goals (10th) and 46 assists (4th). As part of the Yellow-Blues he became the Champion of the country 6 times (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013), 3 times holder of the Cup of Belarus (2010, 2020, 2021) and the Super Cup (2010, 2011, 2013), twice was the silver medalist of the domestic championship (2020, 2021). Three times included into the list of 22 best football players in the Vysheyshaya Liga (2009, 2010, 2020).
The first campaign of FC BATE Borisov for international recognition in the UEFA Champions League 2008/09 is directly connected with the name of Pavel. Despite his still young age, in that tournament he turned out to be one of the four football players of our club who played in all the matches! And the benefit performance of Niakhaichyk was at the away match of the Second Qualifying Round against RSC Anderlecht from Bruxelles. Entered on the pitch as a substitute, the 20-year-old midfielder left eminent Belgians in the minority, earned a penalty and scored the winning goal! And Pavel Niakhaichyk is the only player in the history of the Yellow-Blues who scored a three goals in single match at the European Club Competitions: on 14th July 2010, he performed a "hat-trick" in the UEFA Champions League encounter with the Icelandic FC Hafnarfjördur.
After the decision on retirement, Pavel addressed the supporters:
- Dear Friends! You have always been my driving force, shared with me the joys of victories and, no less valuable, supported me in difficult times. I am grateful to you for all the years of my career, during which we experienced many pleasant moments together! I hope to see you again at football stadiums, albeit in a different role. Sincerely yours, Pavel Niakhaichyk!
FC BATE Borisov thanks Pavel Nekhaychik for his significant contribution to the achievements of our club and wishes him every success!
