From 6th to 13th February Minsk will host the traditional international tournament - Development Cup. Most of the matches takes place in the indoor football arena, but two matches of the final matchday also to be hosted by the ABFF arena.
The Development Cup will feature 10 teams staffed by players under 17 years of age. They are divided into two groups, in which they hold one-round tournaments, and then in the play-offs compete for the final places. The hosts of the competitions are now working at the training camp on basis of the ABFF Football Academy - and will be represented by two teams at once.
Goalkeeper Arseni Skapets, defender Danila Viarheichyk, midfielder Yan Shumski, strikers Vadzim Kisialiou and Aliaksandr Piatrovich, coach of our reserves Dzmitry Likhtarovich and masseur Andrei Arekhva were called-up from the Yellow-Blues' squad to the youth team of Belarus U-17 which is headed by iconic for FC BATE Borisov figure Aliaksandr Yurevich.
Midfielder Ales Sakhonchyk and striker Maksim Praleska, as well as coach Ivan Mihal were invited from the youth structure of FC BATE Borisov to the Belarus U-16 representative team (players not older than 2006 year of birth) under the leadership of Dzmitry Karatkevich.
To the attention of supporters: in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19), and taking into account that all matches would be held indoors, the tournament to be held without spectators. All games of the Development Cup-2022 will be shown live on the official YouTube channel of the ABFF.
