Serbian defender Aleksandar Filipović extended his contract with the Yellow-Blues - the agreement is valid until the upcoming season end.

This is one of the iconic players in the history of our club. He came to FC BATE Borisov in February 2018, and during this time managed to become a record-holder among legionnaires in a number of nominations. The coming season will be Aleksandar's fifth one in the Yellow-Blues' squad: before, any foreign player has stayed at FC BATE Borisov for such a long periof. Filipović is the leader of our team among foreigners both in terms of the number of matches in the top division (110) and the number of official matches in all tournaments (157).

Together with FC BATE Borisov, Saša became the Champion of Belarus (2018), two-time winner of the Cup of Belarus (2020, 2021), three-time silver medalist (2019, 2020, 2021). According to the results of last season, he was included in the list of 22 best players of the domestic championship. And Filipović also has significant international experience: he was one of those guys who three years ago beat eminent English Arsenal FC from London at the Borisov-Arena.
