The contract with the Yellow-Blues was extended by goalkeeper Dzianis Shcharbitski - the agreement is valid until the upcoming season end.

One of the best goalkeepers in the history of our club, since 2013 he had been playing for the Yellow-Blues' reserves (and twice participated at the UEFA Youth League - in 2014 and 2015), and in the summer of 2016 became a player of the first team. Together with FC BATE Borisov, he qualified twice to the UEFA Europa League Group Stage (2018, 2019). One of the most high-profile victories of the Borisovites at the international arena is associated with the name of Dzianis: he has defended the goal of our club in a memorable home match of the UEFA Europa League-2018/19 Round of 32 against Arsenal FC from London (1:0).

Shcharbitski is three-time Champion of Belarus (2016, 2017, 2018), winner of the domestic Cup (2020) and Super Cup (2017), two-time silver medalist of the championship (2019, 2020). Twice included to the list of 22 best football players of the championship (2017, 2018), and in 2017 he was recognized as the best goalkeeper of the Vysheyshaya Liga. As a FC BATE Borisov player, he played in the Belarus U-21 team (2015-18), and then made his debut at the national representative A-team (2018). In total, for all the years in FC BATE Borisov (2016-21) he played 116 official matches (75 wins), conceded 105 goals and performed ‘clean sheet' 58 times.
