Over the years, 213 head coaches have led the clubs of the Vysheyshaya Liga in the Belarus championship. Only 16 of them got big wins with their teams in debut encounters. However, 14 specialists from this number failed to consolidate their success in the second matches. But FC BATE Borisov helmsman Aliaksandr Mikhailau set a record: under his leadership, the Yellow-Blues won three big victories within championship in a row (FC Slaviya Mozyr – 3:0, FC Belshina Bobruisk – 3:0, FC Dnepr Mogilev – 3:0). Before, in more than thirty years of the top division history, none of its debutant coaches had been able to start so briskly!
Mikhailau has beat the achievement of Serb Vuk Rašović, under whose leadership in 2015 FC Dinamo Minsk started with two crushing defeats of opponents. In addition, the uniqueness of the achievement made by Aliaksandr Sergeevich is that with him FC BATE Borisov won bigly with a ‘clean sheet’ score. Moreover, all these three victories were obtained in away matches!
